Introduction
B0505S-1W-6510V-3990K is isolated 1W DC-DC converter open-frame power module with a fixed input voltage (5V ±10% ), and a un-regulated output of 5V. Featuring a compact open-frame SIP-4 package, this high-efficiency module operates over a wide -40°C to +85°C temperature range with comprehensive protection including short-circuit auto-recovery, over-current, and over-temperature detection. Its ultra-small PCB footprint makes it ideal for space-constrained applications such as isolated RS-485, CAN, and ADC power supplies.
Functional Block Diagram
B0505S-1W-6510V-3990K module utilizes an isolated push-pull topology, consisting primarily of a push-pull driver IC, a center-tapped transformer, and input/ output capacitors. This open-frame product provides an low cost alternative to moulded counterparts.

During operation, the two switching devices conduct alternately in a complementary fashion. When one switch turns on, the input voltage VIN is applied across the corresponding primary half-winding; when the opposing switch conducts, VIN is applied across the other primary half-winding. This alternating excitation magnetizes the transformer core in opposite polarities each half-cycle, transferring energy from the primary to the secondary through magnetic coupling. The induced voltage is then rectified by secondary-side diodes and smoothed by the output filter capacitor to supply the load.
